The questions fleets ask.
Straight answers on installation, fuel, drivers, data and support — grouped the way fleets ask them.
Getting started
How long does installation take?
Usually about an hour per vehicle for a tracker, longer when fuel sensors are fitted to both tanks. Installers work at your yard, and a vehicle appears on the map before they leave.
Can we use the trackers we already have?
The platform is designed for Teltonika FMC125 and FMC130 trackers. Another model needs its own connector before it can report to Fleet Brainz — ask us about the one you have.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. The console works on phones and tablets as well as the office PC, and the Android app serves both the office and drivers. There is no iPhone app; on an iPhone, the console runs in Safari.
Fuel and security
Does a fuel alert prove theft?
No — it is a sensor reading with a time, a place and a tank. Thresholds are calibrated on your own vehicles after installation, and every event is checked against the slip and the driver before anyone is accused.
What if a tracker is removed?
With a hidden second unit fitted, the platform raises a tamper alert when the primary goes silent while the hidden one still reports movement.
Can we immobilise a vehicle remotely?
Only a parked one. Engine cut-off works through the tracker relay, and the server refuses the command unless the vehicle is stationary and reporting. It needs a special permission, a typed reason and a second confirmation — it is a safety control, never a way to stop a moving truck.
Drivers
How do attendance checks work?
Your company sets how many checks a day (five by default) and the window they fall in. At a random time the driver’s phone rings until they take a live selfie with the front camera; the office reviews each one.
Do drivers have to agree?
Yes. The app asks drivers for their consent before collecting selfies or location, explains why, and lets them withdraw it under Me.
Can drivers see other vehicles?
No. Access is by role — owner, fleet manager, operations, dispatcher, maintenance, driver, viewer — and a driver’s login shows only their own trips.
Data and language
Where is the data kept?
On cloud servers run for the platform (Amazon Web Services and MongoDB Atlas), encrypted at rest and in transit. Location history is kept for a year as compressed trip routes; raw positions expire after their retention window.
Does the assistant understand Roman Urdu?
Yes — “gaari kahan hai?” works as well as Urdu script or English, and the answer mirrors the language you asked in.
Can we take our data out?
Every report exports to CSV, Excel or PDF. Enterprise plans include API access, set up with our team for the data your systems need.
How do we get help?
Support tickets inside the console, or write to [email protected] for anything else.
